Ikea created an Augmented Reality application that worked in conjunction with their catalogue which allows users to see what furniture actually would look like in their own homes.

Knauf Insulation - 'Try before you buy'

 

Knauf used AR to demostrate the benefits and details of how their products work in buildings.

BBC Radio 1 - Tourism & Leisure

 

When entrants were unsuccessful in winning tickets to Radio One's Big Weekend, they were still given the chance to log on to Radio One's website interact with the Big Weekend's augmented reality experience. Here we see Scott Mills having fun with it.

Eurocopter - Trade Stands and Enhanced Sales Experience

 

Eurocopter went all out with AR when they exhibited their prototype EC175 helicopter which resulted in 111 orders in two days! 

Coca Cola - Use AR as the gateway to online content

 

With the upcoming Avatar film Coca Cola created a unique AR experience creating the AVTR brand connecting their Coke Zero bottles with online content and enabling users to fly AR aircraft from the Avatar movie.

Sandpiper - Augmented Reality Repair Guide

 

Sandpiper have created an augmented reality repair guide for one of their industrial pumps. This is fantastic as it can enable the user (with no expert knowledge) the ability to understand the workings and maintainance of the pump.

SingTel - AR Presentation Controlled Through 'Live' Gestures

 

This is a brilliant example again of an augmented reality presentation with a twist. The presenter controls the the different animations using realtime gestures as he carries out the presentation. Watch how he snaps his fingers at the start to initiate the first animation. This demonstrates, among other things, SingTel's cloud computing abilities.

Alstom - AR Company Presentation

 

This is a fantastic example of augmented reality being utilised for a company demonstration and truly engages the audience with a full 'wow' factor.

McDonalds - World Cup AR Game on Fries Boxes

 

McDonalds for the first time in decades changed the designs of their iconic red fries boxes and revamped them with colour AR images so that they could be used with their augmented reality world cup app 'GOL'.

Lego - Point of sale in store experience

 

Lego have been using augmented reality with some in-store kiosks where customers can hold a Lego product box up to a camera and the customer can see the pieces build into the full sized completed model.
